Pineclear 4306 is used in Specialty coatings and Thermoplastic applications. Very low color, stabilized rosin for enhanced heat stability. It provides excellent adhesion and high bio-renewable content.

Filtrez™ 531 A is an alcohol soluble fumaric acid modified rosin ester with a high softening point and moderately high acid value. Filtrez™ 531 A can be used in solvent and water-based flexographic and in gravure inks. This resin can also be used as a leveling and gloss-promoting agent in floor polishes.

Bodied workhorse.

Filtrez™ 530 A is an alcohol soluble fumaric acid modified rosin ester with a high softening point and high acid value. Filtrez 530 A has good solubility and low viscosity in alcohol and aqueous ammonia solutions, which contributes to high gloss in overprint varnishes. This resin is commonly used in solvent and water-based gravure and flexographic inks. Filtrez 530 A also be used as a leveling and gloss-promoting agent in floor polishes.

Filtrez™ 3320 A is a maleic modified rosin ester made for ink and nitrocellulose lacquer systems that have low aromatic solvents. Filtrez™ 3320 A is considered suitable for use in gravure and flexographic inks and coatings.

Filtrez™ 3310 A is a maleic modified rosin ester. Filtrez 3310 A is designed for the thermoplastic pavement marking industry, and it allows for less plasticizer in the finished application. Other possible applications include modifying nitrocellulose for lacquer in the coatings industry.

Terlon 1143 A is also very compatible with most ink vehicles and serves to stabilize ink formulations. Terlon™ 1147 A is a Lawter™ linseed alkyd. Terlon 1147 A alkyd is known for its excellent pigment wetting ability and fast hard-drying properties. Terlon 1147 A alkyd is an essential ingredient in many oil-based printing inks. This alkyd’s ability to develop and maintain color strength with minimal bronzing and provide flow and leveling where required make Terlon 1147 A an important formulating tool. Terlon 1147 A is very compatible with most ink vehicles and serves to stabilize ink formulations that do not hold up on long runs. Metal decorating inks based on this alkyd bake very fast and form hard abrasion-resistant, glossy surfaces.

Filtrez™ 3305 A is a maleic modified rosin ester. Filtrez™ 3305 A is used in Lacquer coatings, Specialty coatings and Thermoplastic applications. It has high viscosity for more viscous applications such as thermoplastic.

Trionol™ 1739 A is a Lawter™ specialty alkyd. Trionol 1739 A is a medium oil-length soya oil alkyd that forms hard, tough ink films with low odor. It has better compatibility with hard resins than Terlon 7 A and is recommended for low odor inks used on napkins, food cartons, etc. Trionol 1739 A is an excellent replacement for linseed alkyds in heatset inks whenever it is cost effective to do so. Trionol 1739 A is recommended for three-piece flat metal decorating lithography. It has good baking properties on metal with good color retention at oven temperatures up to 370°F. Faster baking can be achieved by adding up to 10% melamine to finished inks based in Trionol 1739 A. Trionol 1739 A avoids the gloss ghosting or yellow ghosting that sometimes occurs in sheetfed inks.
