TERLON™ 1147A

Terlon™ 1147 A is a Lawter™ linseed alkyd. Terlon 1147 A alkyd is known for its excellent pigment wetting ability and fast hard-drying properties. Terlon 1147 A alkyd is an essential ingredient in many oil-based printing inks. This alkyd’s ability to develop and maintain color strength with minimal bronzing and provide flow and leveling where required make Terlon 1147 A an important formulating tool. Terlon 1147 A is very compatible with most ink vehicles and serves to stabilize ink formulations that do not hold up on long runs. Metal decorating inks based on this alkyd bake very fast and form hard abrasion-resistant, glossy surfaces.
