Oxivert SOM is a natural antioxidant composed of naturally derived mixed tocopherols. Tocopherols belong to a class of phenolic antioxidants which can inhibit lipid autoxidation by scavenging free radicals and by reacting with singlet oxygen. Many synthetic antioxidants can be used to prevent oxidation of fatty acids but their usage is limited due to carcinogenic effects. OXIVERT contains natural tocopherols which are highly stable at higher temperatures.
