Applications

BNX 1037 is a high performance, multifunctional antioxidant developed for the stabilization of hot melt adhesives based on unsaturated copolymers (SIS, SBS, SBR, etc.). This product is also suitable for the stabilization of solvent-based adhesives, water-based adhesives, unsaturated block copolymers, and polyurethanes. Due to its unique chemistry it can be used in many applications without co-stabilizers.

Guidelines for Use

Recommended concentrations in hot melt adhesives range from 0.1 to 1.0%. While the product can often be used without co-stabilizers, combinations with other antioxidants such as phosphites and thioethers often show synergistic performance. BNX 1037 is also suitable for use in combination with light stabilizers, including hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), UV absorbers, and benzoates. The exact formulation to be used is dependent on the substrate, performance requirements, and other factors, and should be determined by the user based on testing to simulate actual conditions of use.
