MG Natura Peru Achiote

MG Natura Peru Achiote is a shrub belonging to the Bixaceae family. It adapts to hot and humid American intertropical climates, at altitudes from 0 to 1200 meters above sea level, with temperatures between 24ºC and 35ºC. Its fruit contains 30 to 45 red or orange seeds. The seed contains a natural colorant whose main component is Bixin (norbixin dicarboxylic acid) that is used in the food industry as a colorant, seasoning or spice and its importance lies in the fact that it is not toxic and does not alter the taste of food.
