The fruit of camu camu is a globose berry, 10 to 40mm in diameter, red to purple in color, with one to three kidney-shaped seeds covered by abundant pulp. Their weight varies between 2 to 20 grams, weighing an average of 8g. The main characteristic of the camu camu fruit is its incomparable Vitamin C content, whose pulp reaches, on average, values of 2800mg of Vitamin C / 100g .; reason why it is used for the manufacture of vitamin supplements, as well as for the manufacture of cosmetics, due to its coloring properties.
