Level Sealer™

1 of 1 products in this brand
Level Sealer™ is a new generation of Post-Catalyzed amino alkyd finishing system that offers the ultimate in durability. It is a HAPS Free high solids, waterwhite formula specifically designed for interior wood surfaces that are exposed to moisture, heat and household chemicals. It was also designed so that you can build the dry mils past the normal 5 mils maximum recommendation. So, if you want to have a full fill or thick build look and you do not want to go to polyurethane, Level Sealer™ is for you. It gives good sag resistance and can be sprayed from 4-10 wet mils on a vertical surface. It can also be built with multiple thin coats to get 10 - 12 dry mils by allowing each coat to dry thoroughly.

It gives good sag resistance and can be sprayed from 4-10 wet mils on a vertical surface. It can also be built with multiple thin coats to get 10 - 12 dry mils by allowing each coat to dry thoroughly.

Application

Application Procedure

Level Sealer™ is formulated to be ready to spray after catalyzing and has excellent sanding between coats. Use a Fre-Cut (no-fill) type sand paper. Always sand white wood (unfinished) with no finer than 150-grit sand paper before application of Level Sealer.

Mixing

Level Sealer™ has been developed to start its cross-linking (drying) with the addition of 12.8 ounces of C1491 Care Catalyst per gallon (10:1 ratio). Always mix in the catalyst thoroughly before application. No waiting period (sweating in time) is necessary before using this product. Level Sealer™ has a 24-hour pot-life once catalyzed; however, pot-life can be affected by some environmental factors such as high temperatures.

Equipment Clean Up

  • Use lacquer thinner to clean up all equipment.
  • Dispose of dirty solvent and cleaning rags in a safe and approved manner.
  • Solvent or lacquer soaked rags should be stored in a water filled, closed containers prior to disposal

Surface Preparation

  • New Work: Remove any dirt, grease, glue or other construction contaminants and sand wood as required.
  • Old Work: Strip old finishes completely and remove all contaminants from the surface. Make sure surface is dry, sand as required. Finish as new work. If cratering develops on work, Fish Eye Killer WR5 may remedy this problem (if the contaminant is not too severe).

Reduction

Level Sealer™ requires no reduction. If reduction is necessary, use only M.L. Campbell Lacquer thinners or retarders.

Testing

Due to the wide variety of substrates, surface preparation methods, application methods, and environments, customers should test the complete system for adhesion and compatibility under their conditions prior to full-scale application.
