CoatOSil™ T-Cure Silane Oligomer may be useful in the development of coating formulations where reactivity with a mercapto silane is desired. This patented oligomer is low in odor compared to standard mercapto silanes and can display a trio of reactive chemistries. In addition to thiol groups, silanol and diols are generated upon the hydrolysis of the silane. It behaves as a reactive diluent within a coating formulation, and is recommended for industrial maintenance applications, automotive, appliance, and coil applications; epoxy primers for metals and flooring, and aurospace and automotive refinishing applications.

CoatOSil™ DRI waterborne silicone resin can help reduce water uptake and improve UV resistance in organic waterborne coating compositions. Its chemical structure enables CoatOSil™ DRI waterborne silicone resin to overcome the difficulties of combining silicone materials with organic waterborne resins. CoatOSil™ DRI waterborne silicone resin has been shown to improve hydrophobicity and elongation properties when used as a co-binder with acrylic latexes, resulting in more flexible coatings and sealants. When applied alone, CoatOSil™ DRI waterborne silicone resin cures at room temperature to form an elastomeric film.

CoatOSil™ 2812 Coatings additive is a linear silicone-polyether (EO) block copolymer with -OH end group. It can help reduce coefficient of friction (COF) and enhance slip and mar resistance in waterborne, water reducible, conventional and high-solids solvent systems. Applications include waterborne coatings, solventborne coatings and solventless or high-solids coatings.

Enhancing the physical properties of water-borne dispersion polymers, such as polyurethane and acrylic latexes, CoatOSil™ 2287 silane enables the formulation of coatings with good shelf stability, improved wet adhesion and enhanced resistance to water and organic solvents. This non-yellowing additive can be considered as an adhesion promoter or crosslinker.

CoatOSil™ 3505 coatings additive is an excellent candidate for coating formulations that require an array of benefits. Its silicone portion can provide enhancements that include: defoaming, slip; mar resistance, plus, flow and leveling. Comprised of a silicone backbone and an all polypropylene oxide (PO) polyether chain. The degree of property enhancement will be directly related to the interaction of all components of the formulation and the additive use-level.

CoatOSil™ 3573 coatings additive can provide a high level of slip and mar resistance in water-borne coatings. In addition to promoting excellent slip properties in water borne formulations, CoatOSil™ 3573 coatings additive can aid in defoaming in solvent-borne coating formulations.

Silblock™ F Polysiloxane Emulsion is a waterborne, solvent-free, polysiloxane additive for use in waterborne paint formulations to enhance performance and durability. It is an excellent candidate to consider for use in exterior and interior architectural paints. Paints containing Silblock F emulsion typically demonstrate improved resistance to UV, water, alkali and efflorescence. Additionally, durability of color retention and water resistance can be extended by 50% or more. Silblock F emulsion can be added during paint manufacturing or premixed with the existing binder emulsion.

Momentive Performance Materials M120XB Methyl Silicone Resin is a binder for heat-resistant, anti-corrosion finishes and for heat-stable, anti-stick finishes, our M120XB methyl silicone resin can help contribute to the design of formulations that are required to perform in unforgiving and demanding environments. Applications from blast furnace gas pipes to vulcanizing molds have demonstrated the robustness and durability of finishes employing M120XB methyl silicone resin.

CoatOSil™ 1770 silane can benefit from better adhesion, improved appearance, and longer retention of functional and esthetic properties. As a cycloaliphatic epoxy silane, CoatOSil™ 1770 silane can deliver crosslinking in latex under room or elevated temperature cure conditions. Through crosslinking, CoatOSil™ 1770 silane can improve the solvent, stain and weather resistance of the final coating.

Silquest™ A-1120, N(beta-aminoethyl) gamma-aminopropyltrimethoxy- silane, and Silquest™ A-2120, N(beta-aminoethyl) gamma aminopropylmethyldimethoxy-silane, are diaminofunctional silanes that may be used over a broad range of applications. They are used to promote the adhesion of amino-reactive resins such as silicone, silylated polyurethane, two-part urethanes and two-part epoxies to inorganic surfaces, plastic surfaces, and inorganic fillers or reinforcements.

CoatOSil™ 7500 copolymer is a silicone-polyether block copolymer that can help provide excellent flow and leveling in a variety of solvent borne and coil coating applications. It is an excellent candidate for coil coatings such as pre-painted metal applications.

CoatOSil™ 1211C coatings additive helps enable wetting of waterborne systems on common and hard-to-wet substrates. The product's nonfoaming characteristics and superwetting properties make it an excellent candidate to consider for coatings applied by spray or high-speed roll methods. CoatOSil™ 1211C coatings additive applications may include coatings for plastic films and components, wood and glass coatings. May improve results on less than optimal prepared surfaces.

CoatOSil™ 7604B coatings additive is a silicone copolymer with a pendant ethylene oxide side chain that can enable excellent wetting and recoatability in water-borne coatings and inks. For water-borne primers and other industrial coatings, CoatOSil™ 7604B coatings additive is a good candidate where wetting and recoatability are a principal requirement.

The main potential fi elds of application for coatings utilizing CoatOSil™ Resin P 501 are the coating of machine components, fi re doors, engine manifolds, car exhaust silencers, drying units etc.

CoatOSil™ DSA 6 friction modifier is a silicone micro resin and an excellent candidate to consider for use as an additive to help improve the performance of coatings. In addition to providing silicone lubricity, CoatOSil™ DSA 6 friction modifier has a lower specific gravity than conventional inorganic fine powders and typically has superior heat and chemical resistance as compared with conventional organic fine powders.

CoatOSil™ P851 Phenylmethyl silicone resin in solvent.Binder for anticorrosion coatings, especially for primers with thermal stability up to 600°C. Due to the typically good application properties and long shelf life of the coatings formulated from it, CoatOSil™ Resin P 851 is an excellent candidate to consider for use in anticorrosion primers, particularly zinc dust primers. These anticorrosion primers are used in multi-coat systems for the protection of objects such as blast furnaces, cracking plants, steel stacks, rotary kilns etc.

CoatOSil™ 3500 coatings additive provides an excellent balance of properties in radiation cure coatings. It reduces coefficient of friction (COF) in acrylate based coatings, without generating foam or reducing gloss. This is possible because of its compatibility in formulated coatings.
