Depending on the supply of local water, an analysis may be necessary to determine the relative concentration of bacteria.
In the case of drum / bulk storage, a preservative, biocide, may be necessary (e.g. addition of 0.1 % Preventol® D2, Lanxess, calculated on the total weight of the dilution).
Containers (pails / drums / bulk) should be kept closed.
Standard processes for the water repellent treatment of masonry can be used. Before application on large surfaces, trials should be carried out to determine the optimum active substance concentration. Contact with solvent-born impregnating agents, e. g. residues in formulation / application equipment or with tin com¬pounds, must be avoided.
For use on marble, it is recommended to apply CoatOSil 2059 silicone emulsion by brush, roller or flooding. After a short period of time for penetration, wipe away any excess CoatOSil 2059 silicone emulsion with a clean cloth and then polish

CoatOSil 2059 silicone emulsion can be considered for use as a masonry water repellent, while still allowing the substrate to ‘breath’, without blocking enclosed water vapor transmission. It can be considered for the water repellent treatment of the fol - lowing substrates.

Correctly stored in its original - unopened container at 25°C, CoatOSil 2059 silicone emulsion has a shelf life of 365 days from the date of manufacturing. Please see also use-before / expiration date on product label and certificate. The product must be protected against frost and heat. Storage at temperatures below 40°F (5°C) and above 104°F (40°C) should be avoided.
