Silquest™ A-178 silane is a coupling agent for glass fiber and particulate filler reinforced composites. It is a 100% active methacrylamido functional silane that may be used to promote adhesion between a wide range of resins and substrates and reinforcements. It is also useful as a monomer in the synthesis of organic polymers. It functions as a moisture- activated crosslinking agent.

Silquest™ A-171 silane offers vinyl and silane functionality and also can be utilized for chain extension of RTV silicones or OH functional polymers. This results in Si-O-Si crosslink sites that are highly resistant to the effects of exposure to moisture, chemicals and UV rays. As a siloxane crosslinker, Silquest™ A-171 silane typically does not generate color and is resistant to acid rain under most conditions. This silane is also useful as a moisture scavenger in moisture cure systems where improved shelf life is desired.

Silquest™ VX-225 silane is an amino-functional oligosiloxane adhesion promoter that may be considered for use over a broad range of adhesives and sealants applications.

Silquest™ VS 142 Silane is a high purity, amino-alkyl-silane solution in water, and as such provides the performance of aminoalkylsilane esters such as Silquest™* A-1100 Silane, in a convenient prehydrolyzed form. Silquest™ VS 142 silane can be easily diluted with water and does not contain alcohol. and Resilency.

Silquest™ A-1106 silane is an aqueous solution of an aminoalkyl siloxane. This alcohol-free siloxane improves signifi- cantly the adhesion and coupling between organic resins and inorganic surfaces. Momentive Performance Materials Silquest™ A-1106 silane is most often used in aqueous systems where the alcohol of hydrolysis causes instability of the formulation or where a high flash point additive is required. The product also reduces volatile organic content (VOC) and does not contain hazardous air polluting substances (HAPS). These benefits are particularly useful to manufacturers seeking to reduce emissions from their water-borne products and processes.

Silquest™ A-174NT silane is a momentive performance materials, methacryloxy functional trimethoxy silane that finds utility in coating, composite and adhesive and sealant systems that cure via a free radical mechanism.

Silquest™* A-137 silane is a monomeric alkylalkoxysilane that, when exposed to moisture, is reactive with minerals contained in concrete, masonry and other substrates. The monomer can penetrate deeply into a substrate, and then react to form an extremely durable protective surface surrounding each microscopic particle.

Silquest™ A-1110 silane, a primary amino silane, is a candidate for use as an adhesion promoter in silane modified urethane (SPUR* prepolymer), filled silicone, epoxy and 2 part urethane adhesives and sealants.

Silquest™ A-Link 599 silane is a thiocarboxylate functional silane adhesion promoter that has low odor, low volatility and low mercapto reactivity until the thiocarboxylate is activated during application of the adhesive or sealant. Silquest™ A-Link 599 silane is a blocked mercaptosilane, wherein the octanoyl group blocks the sulfurfunctional part of the molecule. The octanoyl group gives improved solubility in many resin systems. It eliminates the usual mercapto odor during formulation, storage and initial application of a sealant. It further prevents the reaction or deactivation of the mercap- to group with tin and platinum catalysts. Finally, in the sealant application step, the octanoyl-blocking group hydrolyzes to give a reactive mercaptosilane that bonds between the resin and substrate.

Silquest™ A-151 silane (vinyltriethoxysilane) is a general-purpose coupling agent used with mineral-filled polyolefin and elastomeric compounds. Silquest™ A-151 silane can be added as a monomer during emulsion polymerization to form silane-modified latexes that function as crosslinkers, forming very stable Si-O-Si linkages.

Silquest™ A-1524 is a 100% active ureidosilane, silane which is specially formulated to promote superior adhesion across a wide range of applications including resins, substrates, fillers and reinforcements. Being 100% active, Silquest™ A-1524 silane contains no alcohol or other solvent diluent. These traits make Silquest™ A-1524 silane an excellent choice for use in reactive polymer systems such as isocyanate-terminated polyurethane polymers. With its methoxysilane ester reactive groups, Silquest™ A-1524 silane exhibits fast hydrolysis of the silane ester group.
