Silquest™ A-151 silane (vinyltriethoxysilane) is a general-purpose coupling agent used with mineral-filled polyolefin and elastomeric compounds. Silquest™ A-151 silane can be added as a monomer during emulsion polymerization to form silane-modified latexes that function as crosslinkers, forming very stable Si-O-Si linkages.

Instruction for Use

Silquest A-151 silane is soluble in water once it has been hydrolyzed. Hydrolysis can typically be aided by adjusting the pH of the water to between 5.0-5.5 with acetic acid prior to addition of the silane.
