Bitter orange is a hybridiz between pomelo and mandarin and cultivated in warm area such as Mediterranean and South America. Its extract is usaully used for essential oil of fragrance or ingredient of supplenment like digestion-stimulating ones and appetite supressant. We can find teas or candy whose ingredients are dried bitter orange's petals. Limonexic acid in petals have anti-cancer, anti-bacterial and pesticidic effect and HTF(tetramethoxyflavone) supresses the action of IL-16, one of inflammatory cytokines.
