Collagen is a fiber protein filing the space between cells of animal. A large amount of collagen exists in skin, catilage, bone, blood vessel wall and muscle. Especially, the connective tissue of skin is full of collagen and elastin fibers. 70% of dermis components is collagen fibers. As we get older, collagen synthesis is slower and exising collagens are decomposed, which results in skin aging. Collagen having small molecular weight invades skin more efficiently and helps rejuvinate damaged skin. As a result, the elasticity of skin is recovered and finally skin aging can be prevented.
