Mosselman Stearic Acid 1898 - Food Grade (57-11-4) is the most common saturated fatty acid occuring in natural fats. The commercial stearic acid contains palmitic and stearic acid. Stearic acid is used in the manufacture of stearates, lubricants, soaps, cosmetics etc. Further applications are in rubber compounds, coatings, food packaging and candles.
