Mosselman Tall Oil Fatty Acids 130 (61790-12-3) is a by-product in the production of wood pulp by the Kraft process. The “black liquor” which is obtained in the processing of the wood pulp contains the sodium soap of the tall oil fatty acids and resin acids. By acidification a mixture of fatty acids and resin acids is obtained. By further distillation the fatty acids and the resin acids are separated.
