Mosselman 2-ethylhexyl Lactate (6283-86-9) is the ester of L(+) lactic acid. Lactic acid is produced by fermentation. It is used as solvent for example in agrochemicals, polymer additive or emulsions. It brings good wetting properties, low evaporation rate, good penetration, etc. It is also used as « green solvent » for digital inks and coalescing agent for water based paint.

Mosselman Castor Oil Hydrogenated (8001-78-3) is a white, odorless fat obtained by the hydrogenation of castor oil. It has very good compatibility with natural waxes. It is mostly used in the manufacture of calcium and lithium lubricating greases. These lubricating greases exhibit excellent resistance to oils and fats, water and solvents. It is also used as raw materi-al for solvent based coating systems, for alkyd resins and as processing aid for phenolic resins, poly-ethylene, PVC and rubber and as an additive in powder coatings. Finally it can be used as an ingredient in polishes (for cars, shoes, furniture) and in cosmetics (for creams, lipsticks,…).

Mosselman Stearic Acid 1855 Beads (67701-03-5) is the most common saturated fatty acid occurring in natural fats. The commercial stearic acid contains palmitic and stearic acid.

This amide finds use in a variety of industrial cleaners where it acts as a viscosity builder, for foam boosting and foam stabilizing, as dispersing agent, emulsifier and corrosion inhibitor. Amide ODV improves the detergency of other surfactants.

Mosselman Sorbitan Monolaurate (1338-39-2) are non-ionic emulsifiers obtained by the esterification of dehydrated sorbitol with fatty acids. These esters are mostly water in oil emulsifiers, but they can also act as oil in water emulsifiers when they are used in combination with the ethoxylated sorbitan esters. Sorbitan esters are used in cosmetics, lubricants, textiles etc.

Mosselman Carbomer 940 (9003-01-4) is a polyvinyl carboxy polymer used as a viscosity enhancer gelling agent. Carbomer 940 is cross linked with ethers of pentaerythritol. It is used primarily in systems where sparkling clarity or a sharp viscosity response is required.
