Motherland International Green Tea Extract Powder is made from the dried leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant by steaming and cooking the leaves then drying them. Other teas typically involve fermentation of the leaves before drying. Because Green Tea is not fermented, it has a high polyphenol content. It also contains EGCG (epigallocatechin) which is a compound that can be found in green teas, bananas, and pomegranates. Green tea naturally contains caffeine. This extract contains at least 50% EGCG.
