AGITAN 761 is a highly effective siloxane defoamer for aqueous emulsions and water reducible systems. It is particularly effective in aqueous printing inks. The nonionic structure provides excellent compatibility with most common binders.

- Recommended Levels and Use
Normal dosage ranges from 0.05 to 0.2 % on finished product. Ladder studies are recommended to determine optimum level. For aqueous printing inks AGITAN 761 has to be added in the early stage of the manufacturing process. This will ensure uniform distribution with a minimal amount of AGITAN 761. Optimum dispersion in low viscosity systems is possible if high levels of wetting agents are present or high shear is applied which assists the incorporation of the defoamer. Dilution of AGITAN 761 in almost every co-solvent may improve dispersion of the defoamer.

AGITAN 761 is not sensitive to freezing, but for better handling it should be stored between 15 and 25 °C. The product should be mixed before use. The minimum shelf life in closed containers is 15 months from the date of manufacture.
