A unique new defoaming chemistry that offers superior persistence and antifoaming ability. AGITAN 786N provides defoaming performance at the highest of shear rate applications, along with the long term persistence to prevent foam formation over significant periods of time. In addition, the moderate to high emulsifiability of AGITAN 786N provides formulators with a defoaming solution that is easy to incorporate into aqueous systems.

Properties and Applications

AGITAN 786N contains a high performance organo modified siloxane in combination with a polyoxyalkylene glycol carrier. AGITAN 786N was designed to provide superior defoaming persistence and excellent dispersibility in a variety of aqueous coatings formulations without causing wetting defects such as craters or fisheyes.

Main applications:

  • Industrial and wood coatings
  • Floor polish
  • OPV formulations and clear coatings
  • Corrugated and packaging ink
  • Film and foil printing
  • Architectural coatings
Recommended Levels and Use

The properties and performance of a defoamer are greatly dependent upon the specific formulation in which it is utilized and, consequently, should always be tested (possibly at different treatment levels, temperatures, and/or time intervals) to verify performance prior to use. A starting dosage level from 0.1% to 0.6%, based on the weight of the formulation, is recommended.
