FiorioNat Carmine is a water-soluble, orange to red to magenta shade carminic acid pigment that is derived from the female cochineal insect native to Peru. Introduced into Europe via the Aztecs, it has the advantage of being stable when exposed to heat, light, and oxygen and can be reacted with aluminum to create carmine giving bright and vibrant pink to red shades stable for use across many applications. At Nactarome, carmine and carminic acid are used to create distinctive shades in our FiorioNat range.

FiorioNat Redbeet produces a natural pink to red shade that is sustainably produced for the food industry and it works in the pH range of 3 to 8. These FiorioNat healthy colors are obtained from edible natural source materials via physical and/or chemical extraction.

FiorioNat Beta-Carotenes produces a natural bright yellow to orange to an orangish red shade that is sustainably produced for the food industry. It works in the pH range of 2 to 7 and has good heat and light fastness. These FiorioNat healthy colors are obtained from edible natural source materials via physical and/or chemical extraction.

FiorioClean Beef Patty is a preservative-free, heat-stable ‘Beef Patty’ coloring product that is developed to replicate the satisfying caramelized appearance of its meat counterpart. It was initially developed for applications in pea protein burgers but was also successful in soy-based products.

FiorioNat Anthocyanin is a red to blue shade water-soluble pigment obtained from various fruit & vegetable sources. Anthocyanin is responsible for the attractive red, purple and blue colors of many flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Like most natural colors, anthocyanins are sensitive to pH change, being reddest in strongly acidic conditions and it turns bluer as the pH rises.

FiorioClean Strong Red helps in bringing traditional deli meats to life. Over time, meat products show a loss of color, often changing to a gray-brown shade which is perceived negatively by the consumer. This product produces pink hues ensuring that the meat reaches the consumer looking as fresh as possible. It is found highly stable when tested on reconstituted salted pork in brine and steamed.
