Nielsen Citrus

Nielsen Citrus Product Company, Inc. is run and operated by the Nielsen family. It was established and founded by Bert W. Nielsen in 1953. As a citrus chemist and bacteriologist, Bert invented the Nielsen product line including Nielsen’s Froz’n Lemon, Nielsen’s Froz’n Lime, Nielsen’s Froz’n Lemon Puree, Nielsen’s Froz’n Lime Puree, and Nielsen’s Froz’n Orange Puree. With warehouses in Boston, Chicago, Jersey City, Phoenix and Miami, it now distributes these products throughout the United States and around the world, mainly serving food distributors and manufacturers. In 1993, Nielsen Citrus acquired SunTree Products which packages lemon juice and lime juice into squeeze bottles, 12-32 oz bottles and 4-1-gallon containers. With this acquisition, Nielsen Citrus is able to provide shelf stable lemon and lime juice in a variety of packages to retail, food service, food manufacturers and in private label. The California Wedge is a new design with our same great product that the customer has known since the 1950’s.
