Berry wax is obtained from the fruit peel of the lacquer tree, which is mainly found in China but also in the higher regions of India, Japan, and Korea. The wax is harvested from October to the beginning of December in the course of a press and extraction process. The final product is available as pastilles and almost white in color.

Candles
- Berry wax is used as a vegan alternative to beeswax to produce candles. It provides excellent burning properties, particularly in tea lights.
Cosmetics
- Thanks to its soft and non-sticky properties, berry wax is used as a stabilizing agent in the cosmetics industry. Moreover, it caters for a good spreading behavior of cosmetic products on the skin and serves as a vegan alternative to beeswax.
