NOVAGUARD PE is a well-known preservative for personal care products, Phenoxyethanol is found in a wide range of skin care, hair care, and bath products. Being both low-irritating and low-sensitizing, it can be used in products that necessi- tate mildness, such as baby products.

Product Highlights
  • The advantage of Phenoxyethanol when used as part of a blend is its boosting effect on the antimicrobial properties of the other preservatives. VWhen using Phenoxyethanol alone, the recommended concentration is up to l1%, but in combi nation with other antimicrobials, use levels can be reduced. Very stable over wide pH and temperature ranges.
  • Phenoxyethanol performs well against both Gram negative and Gram positive Bacteria. It is also compatible with all sur- factant types, anionic, cationic, nonionic and amphoteric, in addition to most antimicrobials and active ingredients.
