The “Long Chain” family of specialty engineered nylons are unique in the performance they offer, and are quite different from polyamide grades that might be more commonly seen in different applications, such as Nylon 6 or Nylon 66. Long Chain nylons are more flexible, have lower moisture absorption, more robust chemical resistance, and other special features that make them unique for high performance applications. While Nylon 11 and Nylon 12 used to be the only available grades of this specialty class of polyamides, NYCOA is excited to announce a new family of long-chain nylons: NXTamid-L.
