As the United States was emerging from the Great Depression in 1938, Oliver began manufacturing operations in the west end of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Oliver Chemical Company produced cleaning compounds for the railroads, along with car wash products for the rapidly growing auto industry.
During the first thirty years the company developed products to supply the many regional janitorial distributors.
The current 25,000 sq. ft. facility in Cincinnati's industrial center, allows for production and packaging of both powder and liquid products.
The Oliver Chemical Company currently manufactures numerous products for private label sale. Distributor networks stretch across the country. The products lines are well divided between industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors. Included are car wash products, EPA registered products, anti-slip floor care, laundry, and ware washing products. Products are also manufactured for the metal processing and pre-plating industries with emphasis on parts washing, rust inhibiting, vibratory chemistry, and phosphatizing. Other niche products are manufactured for ultra filtration and nano/ultrafiltration, air pollution control, and water treatment industries.

Rid Lime is a patented deliming agent that works on nearly any piece of heat-transfer equipment. This chemical agent has a built-in inhibitor to protect from metal loss, whether it’s used on a small lube oil cooler or your entire plant’s cooling system. Rid Lime completely dissolves all water scale, lime and rust deposits from process machinery. Self-neutralizing product that allows for the efficient operation of water cooled machinery without inflicting negative side effects on the machine or environment. Returns equipment to original efficiency, without damage to components.

OLCO 700 H.F. is a premium grade burnishing compound fortified with water softeners, emulsifiers and air/metal surfactants.

Oliver 2110 is a liquid detergent designed for use in vibratory systems. Imparts a soft sheen to the part while having abrasive and cushioning qualities to refine the radius and removes surface imperfections. Has good deburring and lubricity qualities. Gives short term corrosion protection during the cleaning application.

Metal Guard HD is a synthetic liquid rust inhibitor used in conjunction with a cleaning system to provide a corrosion free state during storage or between processing steps. Metal Guard HD when applied correctly provides a thin protective borate based film on the surface. Usual methods of application are by dipping or spraying. Protective time depends on the dilution. A 40% dilution ratio can effectively protect parts for 120 days. Metal Guard HD is highly effective in long term protection to carbon steel.

OLCO 340 Compound H.F. is a powder deburring compound that cleans common production soils: cutting oil. Lubricants, buffing compounds, marking paints and other industrial soils. OLCO 340 H.F. is safe on all non-ferrous metals and is recommended for all types of media. OLCO 340 H.F. fallows for quick penetration and dispersion of soils, it rinses freely and gives no scale build-up on equipment or media.
