Oliver Chemical Rid Lime

Rid Lime is a patented deliming agent that works on nearly any piece of heat-transfer equipment. This chemical agent has a built-in inhibitor to protect from metal loss, whether it’s used on a small lube oil cooler or your entire plant’s cooling system. Rid Lime completely dissolves all water scale, lime and rust deposits from process machinery. Self-neutralizing product that allows for the efficient operation of water cooled machinery without inflicting negative side effects on the machine or environment. Returns equipment to original efficiency, without damage to components.

Uses
  • Use in water cooled or heat exchange equipment, such as Air Conditioning Units and Washers, Compressors, Welders, Transformers, Rectifiers, Stills, Pipe lines, etc.
  • Do not use on chrome, Aluminum or Zinc (galvanized).
Directions

Rid Lime is used as is. Do not dilute with water. The system should be purged and drained as completely as possible. Fill the system with Rid Lime and circulate throughout. The fluid mechanics of the liquid circulating along with the chemical action of the product allows for a quick and safe removal of interior deposits. Rid Lime activity can be checked by installing a head pressure gage or monitoring a gage already in place. As the pressure in the system drops, the scale and deposit lining the unit is beginning to be removed and neutralized. A simple check of activity can be done by placing a few drops of used Rid Lime on an unsealed concrete surface. Slight bubbling activity indicates a portion of active solution is still available for use.

Safety & Health

First-Aid Measures
  • Inhalation: If inhalation of mists, vapors, or spray occurs and adverse effects result, remove person to uncontaminated area. Respiratory problems : consult a doctor/medical service.
  • Skin Contact : Immediately flush contaminated areas with water. Remove contaminated clothing, jewelry and shoes. Wash contaminated areas with large amounts of water. Thoroughly clean and dry contaminated clothing before reuse. Irritation persists : consult a doctor/medical service.
  • Eye Contact : Immediately flush contaminated eyes with a direct stream of water for as long as possible. Remove contact lenses, if present, then continue rinsing. Consult a doctor/medical service.
  • Ingestion : If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep airway clear. Monitor airway. Drink 2 glasses of water to dilute. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsive person.
