Lauryl acrylate is made from renewal source so that it helps your carbon-neutral business. Our LA is a single component C12, however, our competitors’ lauryl (meth)acrylate include not only C12 lauryl, but also C14 myristyl because of its alcohol nature. Long alkyl chain moiety induces low viscosity, surface tension and polarity. LA is used for UV inkjet inks because of its soft and flexibilizing properties [1]. And it is also used for adhesives and finish coatings because of its slippage. Recently high purity LA is investigated for polymer brush made by ATRP (Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization) with Stearyl acrylate [2], or fabrication of ultrahydrophobilc on silicon wafer 3]. They are called as Side Chain Crystallization polymer, and have not only Tg, but also melting point (Tm) even though usual acrylic polymers do not have Tm.
