At 90% active in Aromatic 100 solvent, Tallicin® Grinding Vehicle 1550 is recommended for high solids dispersions without sacrificing such important criteria as viscosity, pigment loading, compatibility, color development and acceptance. An exceptional grinding resin, the product offers broad compatibility with a variety of resins, solvents and pigments.

Tallicin® 4200

Tallicin® 4200 decreases the porosity of unsaturated polyesters and provides a smooth, level finish to the surface. It also eliminates the effects of craters and "orange peel." Tallicin® 4200 is also useful in overcoming bubbles in other types of high solids formulations and acts to improve flow and leveling in these systems.

Tallicin® 1510

Tallicin® 1510 is a 50% active, specialty acrylic resin designed to produce pigment dispersions for automotive quality finishes and with exceptional compatibility with a wide variety of resins. When used alone or in conjunction with the existing resin in a formulation, Tallicin® 1510 typically lowers the viscosity of the pigment paste or provides a higher pigment loading for the system. In addition, Tallicin® 1510 can also produce a finished product after let-down that has extremely effective anti-settling characteristics.

Tallicin® 1525

Tallicin® 1525 allows higher pigment loading than pure acrylic grinding vehicles while possessing a Tg below ambient room temperatures. Tallicin® 1525 is less expensive than pure acrylic grinding vehicles and has a lower demand for co-resin in a pigment dispersion. Tallicin® 1525 will provide product improvement with a reduction in cost.

Tallicin® 1535 provides high-quality dispersions with inorganic pigments, organic pigments, fillers and silicas. Tallicin® 1535 is compatible with a wide variety of resins, including acrylics, alkyds, urethanes, polyesters, vinyls, nitrocellulose and epoxies. At 50% active in Aromatic 100 solvent, Tallicin® 1535 is particularly effective as the sole vehicle in the grind, eliminating the need for surfactants, and minimizes flocculation.

Tallicin® 1555

Tallicin® 1555 is a block co-polymer designed as a grinding vehicle for high-quality pigment dispersions having broad compatibility with binders commonly used in coatings and inks. At 55% active in PM Acetate, Tallicin® 1555 produces exceptional color development when used in conjunction with Tallicin® 3405 and Tallicin® K-2.

Tallicin® 1512 is designed to produce very high quality pigment dispersions in a wide variety of coatings, inks and plastic systems at higher solids than conventional dispersants and grinding vehicles. When used in conjunction with the existing resin in a formulation, Tallicin® 1512 typically lowers the viscosity of the pigment paste, often provides a higher pigment loading for the system, and can also produce a finished product after let-down that has extremely effective anti-settling characteristics.

Tallicin® 1600

Tallicin® 1600 is a non-silicone liquid additive to control flooding and floating in solvent based systems. The product also contributes to flow and leveling, and also acts as means of controlling surface defects.

Tallicin® 253

Physical Form:Liquid

Tallicin® 253 is 100% solids and is an effective, hydrophobic wetting agent used as a grinding aid in the preparation of high oil-absorbing pigments such as carbon black and phthalo blue. Recommended for use in the range of 1-3%, Tallicin® 253 often replaces high-cost dispersants used at levels of 5-15% based on weight of pigment.

Tallicin® 3000

Tallicin® 3000 is designed to extend the pot life of an aliphatic two-component polyurethane system where the isocyanate is the trimer type. Tallicin® 3000 is added to the polyol component and retards the reaction between the hydroxyl groups and the isocyanate groups. Tallicin® 3000 is fugitive from the film and may extend dry time in polyester systems.

Tallicin® 3100

Tallicin® 3100 acts as an anti-gelling additive for solvent-based vinyl and vinyl-acrylic paints. It can also be used to restore gelled vinyl paints by breaking the gel and stabilizing the paint against further gellation. Typical use levels for stability are 0.3%-0.7% of total weight while 0.5%-1.2% may be required to break existing gel.

Tallicin® 1314 is recommended as a drop-in replacement for standard dispersants at 70% solids. Tallicin® 1314 is designed for use in a wide variety of alkyd, oleoresinous and other systems to improve the dispersing, wetting and deflocculation properties of the vehicle.
