SPRAY VOLUME PER HECTARE
Apply in sufficient amount of water to ensure thorough coverage without excessive run-off. Use calibrated spray equipment to ensure uniform coverage of leaves and fruit. Adjust spray volumes based on tree size and spraying. In many cases, spray volumes of approximately 1000 L/HA have been shown to be adequate.
CONSULT THE TECHNICAL ADVISOR OF YOUR MAXCEL™DISTRIBUTOR. APPLY THE MAXCEL™SPRAY MIX AS A UNIFORM FINE MIST SPRAY, DIRECTING 85 % OF THE SPRAY TO THE UPPER 2/3 OF THE TREE.
- Timing Of Application
- Apply when wind conditions will not cause excessive spray drift.
- Apply in the morning or evening when conditions are best for slow drying (cooler temperature and higher humidity), in order to ensure adequate absorption of the product. If applied in the morning, assure that the leaves are not too wet from dew.
- Delay applying of MaxCel™ after rain until flower parts and leaves are free of surface droplets. Application should be made only when a 6-hour rain free period is expected. If rain falls within 6 hours of application reduced response should be anticipated. Do not re-spray in the event of rain falling within 6 hours of application.
- Applications will be most effective when the maximum temperature is above 18 oC on the day of application and the following 2-3 days.
- Mixing Instructions
Do not pre-mix MaxCel™.
Fill a clean spray tank half-filled with clean water and engage the agitator. Add the required amount of MaxCel™.
If MaxCel™ is to be tank mixed with Planofix® (Reg. No. L531), first mix the MaxCel™ thoroughly before adding the Planofix®.
No surfactant is required.
Product performs best at water pH between 5 and 7; do not exceed pH of 8.5. Continue to agitate while bringing the total volume of water to the required level. Use the MaxCel™ spray solution within 24 hours of mixing.

Apples
Do not apply MaxCel™ as a tank mix in combination with pesticides, with the exception of DiPel® DF, other growth regulators with the exception of Planofix®, or plant nutrients.
TANK MIXING WITH PLANOFIX®: The addition of Planofix® at the recommended rates may increase the amount of thinning. Use Planofix® in accordance with the Planofix® label. Please consult your technical advisor, Bayer representative or Valent Biosciences representative.
Use properly calibrated spray equipment that ensures uniform and complete coverage of all foliage and blossoms.
Apple tree reaction to chemical fruit thinners is dependent on many interacting variables such as the degree of flowering and fruit set, timing of applications, environmental conditions, cultivar, rootstock, tree age, tree shape.

- Precautions
Avoid intake or inhaling of liquid or spray mist.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Wear suitable protective clothing when handling or applying the product: overalls, rubber boots and gloves,as well as face shield.
Wash with soap and water after use.
Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst mixing, applying or before washing hands and face or changing of clothing.
Do not contaminate rivers, dams and water sources.
Avoid spray drift onto other crops.
Rinse empty container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container.
Add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container in the prescribed manner.
Do not re-use empty container but destroy by flattening and perforation.
Prevent contamination of food, feeds, drinking water and eating utensils.
