PECOREZ® MCTS-30

PECOREZ® MCTS-30 is a unique water-based polymer specifically designed for water-based nail lacquers and polishes. PECOREZ® MCTS-30 will accept most organic/inorganic pigments and dyes. PH control (7.8-8.2) during formulation will maintain the full suspension/solution nature of the system and will optimize processing time. However, surfactants may be incorporated to achieve stable formulations outside of this pH range. Nail enamel and clear coats based on PECOREZ® MCTS-30 exhibit very rapid dry and are usually dry to the touch within minutes. The film will continue to build strength for 24 hours.The ability to remove enamels based on PECOREZ® MCTS-30 with conventional nail polish removers is novel to this new technology given the strong surface properties of the film. PECOREZ® MCTS-30 is not subject to the permanent viscosity change from particle swelling/freeze thaw failure which is typical of many water-borne products. PECOREZ® MCTS-30 is surfactant free and is offered at the highest practical solids level and lowest practical pH so as to provide maximum formulating alternatives. Typical of this class of polymers, PECOREZ® MCTS-30 may show an increase in viscosity over time due to the loss of volatiles. Adjusting the solids level and/or pH under agitation will restore PECOREZ® MCTS-30 to its original condition.
