Applications & Uses

Plastics & Elastomers End Uses
Applications
  • Impact modifier for full range of unfilled polyamides for temperatures as low as -10 °C.
  • Level of improvement obtained is a function of the OPTIM® E-132 addition level.
  • Impact modifier for mineral & glass filled polyamides
  • Adhesion promoter between metals, glass and engineering plastics with polyolefins.
Processing Conditions
  • OPTIM® E-132 can be added to Polyamides to achieve good dispersion of fillers within the polymer matrix thereby obtaining best properties.
  • Maximum processing temperature should not generally exceed 290°C.
  • At temperatures above 290°C, these specialty polymers can evolve low concentrations of fumes.
  • If overheated, more extensive decomposition may occur due to exposure of overheated polymers to atmospheric oxygen.
  • Adequate local ventilation should be provided to remove the fumes from the work area.
