Applications & Uses

Plastics & Elastomers End Uses
Applications
  • OPTIM® GE-340 can be used to improve impact strength of Filled & Unfilled PC & PBT compounds.
  • Level of improvement obtained is a function of OPTIM GE-340 added.
  • It can also be used as chemical coupling agent for mineral and glass filled PBT & PET Compounds.
  • It is effective compatibilizer for PC/PBT, PC/PET & PC/ABS alloys.
  • It can be used as a compatibilizer for polyesters/polyolefin alloys.
  • It can be used for normal temperature applications.
Processing Conditions
  • OPTIM® GE-340 can be added to polycarbonates & polyesters to achieve best properties by dispersion of additives within the polymer matrix.
  • It is recommended to purge the equipment thoroughly after a run is completed as OPTIM® GE-340 tends to crosslink when kept for long periods at high temperatures.
  • Maximum processing temperature should not exceed 290°C.
