- Applications
- Maleic anhydride groups chemically react with amine groups of Polyamides or hydroxyl groups of EVOH, while polyolefin part adheres naturally with polyolefin on both the adjacent sides of the barrier layer. This composite structure has mechanical, optical and barrier properties to meet demands of conversion, packaging and product storage during its desired lifetime.
- reCoupp® E-832 is recommended to be used as tie layer after 60% dilution with film grade LLDPE.
- Monolayer films with 100% of this reprocessed granules has been made satisfactorily. This demonstrates the diverse use the scrap multilayer film made using reCoupp® E-832 can be put to by recycling.
- The greatest advantage of this development from Pluss accrues for the multilayer film manufacturers themselves. They can recycle their own multilayer film scrap in multilayer film making again, by replacing one of the PE layer material with this recyclate. This will give them a much higher value for their scrap than what they can get by selling it outside for other common usage.
- Processing Conditions
- reCoupp® E-832 can be processed on most of the standard extrusion equipment designed to process conventional polyolefins.
- Maximum processing temperature should not exceed 280°C.
- At temperatures above 280°C, these speciality polymers can evolve low concentrations of fumes.
- If overheated, more extensive decomposition may occur due to exposure of overheated polymers to atmospheric oxygen.
- Adequate local ventilation should be provided to remove the fumes from work area.

Packaging & Availability
- Packaging Type
- Packaging Information
- Pluss’ reCoupp® speciality polymers are supplied in pre-dried form in 25 Kg (55 lbs) PE lined, HD woven cloth- laminated paper bags and 750 Kg (1650 lbs) FIBC’s.
- They should be stored in cool and dry place.
Storage & Handling
- Storage and Handling Procedures
- reCoupp® E-832 is mildly hygroscopic and should be stored in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area.
- It is supplied in pre-dried moisture proof bags and thus no need to dry prior to processing.
- In case of open bags, it is recommended that prior to processing, the requisite quantity of material to be used should be dried in a hopper dryer or oven at 80-90°C for about 2 hours for obtaining best results.
