"Resin Systems CORPORATION was founded in 1954 by Norman Jones. In its early stages, the company was primarily focused on epoxy casting and encapsulations for the electric motor industry. Stephen Campbell purchased Resin Systems in 1971. He expanded the company’s production capabilities to include the casting of thermosets, specifically epoxies and urethanes. The company broadened its customer base and branched into diversified markets which included electronics, computers, and the microwave industry.

In 1991, Resin Systems was purchased by its present owner, Daniel Prawdzik. Under Dan’s leadership, the business has grown dramatically over the last 25 years. In 1996, construction was started on a new 57,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art facility immediately adjacent to the original building. The building was completed and fully occupied by July 1997. A substantial investment in new capital equipment has been made in both casting and processing equipment. In addition, many new pieces of CNC equipment have been added to our machine shop which will enhance our ability to perform all secondary operations.

Resin Systems has become an industry leader in the production of custom Liquid Resin Castings. Focusing on production runs of typically 25 to 5000 pieces, Resin Systems routinely achieves major cost reductions over machining or injection molding of plastic parts. Tooling for many liquid resin cast parts can be produced in as little as one week, and usually at one-tenth the cost of injection mold tooling. The parts that you will receive will have exceptional esthetic and performance qualities.

RS-2453 is a castable, high temp epoxy based syntactic foam material that is a rigid plastic that can be custom molded to complex shapes or sold as plate stock. This material is a combination of our RS-2243 epoxy and hollow glass microballoons. This material is lighter than water so can be used as a buoyant material or utilized as simply a light plastic. It is electrically non-conductive and has low thermal conductivity. This material has good mechanical properties, and superior resistance to chemicals including acids and mild alkalines.

Resin Systems RS-2453

RS-2299 is a patented, high density filled, castable, lead free insulating grade epoxy resin specifically designed for high voltage insulator applications requiring x-ray shielding. This material provides greater than 20% of the x-ray shielding of lead metal, and is equivalent or better than industry standard 30% lead oxide filled â€œorangeâ€ epoxy. This material is non-hazardous, and meets UL94V-0 flammability requirements.

RS-4700 can be supplied in custom cast configurations, standard stock shapes of plates, rods and bars, or in pourable kits.

RS-6290 is a high strength, flexible urethane that is well suited for a wide variety of applications. It offers high toughness, elongation and abrasion resistance.

RS-3595 is a castable rigid urethane material that has the look and feel of a thermoplastic material but is easily cast into intricate thin and thickwall parts. It has good mechanical properties, has high strain capability and is easily pigmented into all opaque colors.
