SAIPAN was founded in 1975 as a company for the production of champignon mushrooms, after having acquired a natural experience in the production and marketing of fresh mushrooms, it decides to gain new experiences in the preparation of compost for the cultivation of the Pleurotus mushroom. It builds a composting plant on the basis of the most modern knowledge by developing a line of innovative products with which it is aimed at both professional growers and those who cultivate as a hobby. SAIPAN has always paid great attention to research in the field of biotechnologies for the improvement and development of its products; therefore since 2003 it has equipped itself with an internal research laboratory, which is in continuous collaboration with the most important Italian universities and research bodies (University of Naples "Federico II", Dept. of Plant Pathology, the University of Viterbo "Tuscia ", CRA).
