UCOPOL OL 17/60 WD cures with oxypolimerization and the main propierties are fastcuring, hardness abrasion resistance significantly higher than alkyd resins.
UCOPOL OL 17/60 WD has good weather resistance and, due to its low acid value, it is very stable with anticorrosive pigments and metallic powders.
UCOPOL OL 17160 WD has good resistance to chemicals like: diluted acids and alkali, aliphatics, mineral oils, fats and detergents.
UCOPOL OL 17/60 WD is mainly used for wood coatings application as follows:
- Outdoors high gloss and matt paints
- Impregnating and preservative paints for wood
- Boat paints
- Metalized paints
- Flooring paints
UCOPOL OL 17/60 WD is compatible with all UCOPOL OL range and long oil alkyd resins. Very interesting is the combination with long oil alkyd resins in order to improve the performance of such resins. The use of the above allows a better drying time and good film hardness. Very interesting is the combination of UCOPOL OL 17/60 WD with UCOPOL OL 18/50 WD because it is possible to get both characteristics in order to improve the hardness, curing and to reduce gloss.
