Promois™ WJ-SP (Botanical Keratin) is powder hydrolyzed pea protein with conditioning efficacy. Pea protein amino acid composition is quite similar to keratin, so it is called botanical keratin. It possesses excellent moisturizing properties for both hair care and skin care and also repairs hair damage. This in non-GMO product which does not contained genetically modified pea and it is deemed not allergenic according to the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Promois™ WJ-SP (Botanical Keratin) is an organic ingredient certified ECOCERT and COSMOS. This product is preservative free powder type. Promois™ series is a range of peptides and derivatives obtained through hydrolysis of natural proteins. It is developed and manufactured in Japan by SEIWA KASEI.

Product Background

Pea protein restores hair moisture and revitalizes hair strength that was lost by damages. Because the amino acid composition is similar to that of hydrolyzed keratin, the function is also similar. GMO modified Pea protein has not been distributed in the marketplace, and it does not get identified as having allergy by Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

Secondary transpiration moisture

Moisturizing effect was evaluated by measurement of moisture inside the hair.The sample hair was heated at 65 deg C (assumed the temperature of hair dryer) for 40 min, and then the hair was heated at 180 degC (assumed the temperature when whole hair moisture transpires) for 30min.As shown In Figure, based on the difference of weights between A and B,the secondary transpiration moisture was calculated according to the following equation:
