The formulation of our high performance Marine ISO/NPG Gel coats are based on a special ISO/NPG polyester resin. These products were developed to provide good durability and superior flexibility, while keeping high quality finish and minimal maintenance. Additionally, their excellent Air Dry times make them suitable for repairs and repainting. The combination of neopentylglycol and isophtalic acid provides excellent resistance, not only to water blistering and osmosis, but also to the UV light.

Our General Purpose DCPD Laminating Resin has been developed from a special ORTHO/DCPD resin This, in combination with high quality additives, allow optimal performance for the manufacture of open-mold glass fiber reinforced parts with highly esthetique finish. Given their low volume shrinkage, they exhibit minimal glass print. They present excellent application and wet-out properties and have an excellent follow-through cure.

Our General Purpose Laminating Resin has been developed from a polyester resin providing very good mechanic properties. Given their low to medium viscosity, they offer very good wetting of fiber glass. In addition Sogel’s General Purpose Laminating Resins have very good crosslinking and short “Tack Free Time”.

Our Polyester Tooling Gel coat was formulated from a special polyester resin in combination with high quality additives, providing good high deformation temperature. Sogel’s Polyester Tooling Gel coat provides a permanent surface gloss to the mold, allowing the manufacturing of several parts between polish/wax applications.

Sogel Sanding Gel coats were developed from a polyester resin to provide very good elongation to reduce cracks. In addition, it has a low volume shrinkage which gives a better surface finish. Their rheological properties give them optimal vaporization characteristics, to resist porosity and flow on vertical walls.

Our high impact tooling gel coat was formulated from a special vinyl ester resin This in combination with high quality additives, providing extreme resistance to high deformation temperature (HDT), as well as optimal performance in repeated cycles of heating, and exposure to solvents and chemicals. Sogel formulated this gel coat to provide permanent surface gloss to the mold, allowing the manufacturing of several parts between polish/wax applications.
