MAKON® UD-7 is a c11 branched alcohol ethoxylate suitable for institutional and industrial laundry, as well as various hard surface cleaning applications. It acts as a fragrance solubilizer and wetting agent. Its branched structure allows it to serve as a replacement for tridecyl alcohol ethoxylates and nonylphenol ethoxylates, avoiding gel phase formation in water.

Chemical Name: Poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), .alpha.-undecyl-.omega.-hydroxy-, branched and linear

Functions: Emulsifier, Solubilizer, Surfactant, Surfactant (Nonionic), Wetting Agent

Storage & Handling

Storage & Handling

Normal safety precautions (e.g., gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling MAKON UD-7. Avoid contact with eyes or nose, or prolonged contact with the skin. Wash thoroughly after handling. MAKON UD-7 is not prone to gelling when diluted in water. It has been observed that MAKON UD-7 has a viscosity maximum at 70% solids in water, but the product will remain a fluid.

Packaging Storage Information

MAKON UD-7 should be stored in original containers and kept in a cold, dry place away from incompatible materials. As a general rule for alcohol ethoxylates, non-bulk packages should be stirred to ensure they are homogeneous before use. If material is frozen, it should be heated gently and stirred to ensure it is homogeneous before use. Product should be stored between 0° C (32°F) to 30°C (86°F).
