Storage & Handling

Storage & Handling

Normal safety precautions (i.e. gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling NINOL 1301. Contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling material. It is recommended that NINOL 1301 be stored in plastic sealed containers or stainless steel tanks at least No. 304 or 316, and kept at temperatures not exceeding 120°F (49°C). Inject one or two pounds of nitrogen to keep the atmosphere. As with all amides, if overheating does occur, amide ester will be formed. To reverse the reaction, NINOL 1301 should be stored at room temperature for approximately one week. Failure to do so may result in formulation products with decreased foam and low viscosity. To discharge the product; use a gear or centrifugal pump. The product should be 10 or 20 degrees above the melting point.
