Applications: STEPANOL DX-AS165N is a high active sodium lauryl sulfate manufactured from fatty alcohols sulfated via Stepan’s continuous SO₃ process. This material is then dried via a scrape-walled evaporator to produce a high purity product.

STEPANOL DX-AS165N is used in bubble baths, hand cleaners, and detergents. Because of its excellent foaming properties, STEPANOL DX-AS165N is used in liquid hand soaps, shampoos and other personal care and detergent applications.

Safety & Health

Toxicity: STEPANOL DX-AS165N is slightly toxic orally to mammals (LD₅₀ is between 0.8 to 1.1 g/kg) and aquatic organisms (LC50 = 13 mg/L). At 10% active, it causes moderate to severe skin and eye irritation.
