The Riblene® range comprises a range of LDPE resins for a wide range of finished products; from the most simple to the most sophisticated items.

Riblene® is the trade name for versalis spa Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) that is produced by high pressure technology.
Initiators’ decomposition starts ethylene radical polymerization and the reaction takes place at high temperature and high pressure conditions.
The resulting polymer is composed by branched macromolecules of polyethylene, having both short and long chain branches.

The mechanical, thermal, optical and electrical properties of Riblene®, its chemical resistance and processing characteristics make this resin suitable for many specific fields of applications.

Versalis supply a range of ethylene vinyl acetate co polymers (EVA) under the trademark Greenflex®.

The products are made by the high pressure polymerization process adding the comonomer (vinyl acetate) into the main polymer chain based on ethylene monomer.
The technology and the type of polymerization (radical) rend these copolymers a special modification of common LDPE materials.

The main properties of EVA copolymers are different from the typical one of common LDPE polymers and the difference grows according to the increase of VA content. The range extends from properties similar to LDPE to rubber-elastic like properties for high VA content EVA copolymers.

Greenflex

Clearflex® is a (V)(UL) LLDPE that is known for its flexible properties.

Clearflex®, LLDPE family with butene or hexene comonomer and VLDPE with butene comonomer. These polymers are specialties used for lamination, stretch hood, stretch, BOPE, rotomolding and injection molding.

Clearflex® has excellent sealing properties, a high transparency and an outstanding mechanical performance.

Clearflex® CL B0 is a linear low density polyethylene, with antioxidants, characterized by a very low density (VLDPE).The resin has a high stretchability and a good cling effect.Main ApplicationClearflex CL B0 is recommended for applications in which soft touch and flexibility are required, for the improvement of impact resistance when used as additive in blend with other polyolefins formulated with or without mineral fillers. Clearflex CL B0 is also used as cling agent in stretch film.

Edistir® R 850E is a super high impact polystyrene with good heat resistance.Designed for sheet extrusion and thermoforming of deep drawn containers even diluted with high percentage of GP.Suitable for general injection molding of tough medium-walled articles.Designation: Thermoplastics ISO 2897-PS-I,G,O93-O3-10-18ApplicationsTypical uses are thermoformed food packaging as disposable tumblers, flatwares, yogurt cups, lids. Injection molding of technical items, shoe heels, reels.

Edistir® R 850E

Clearflex® CL D0 is a linear low density polyethylene, with antioxidants, characterized by a very low density (VLDPE).This resin is produced with a proprietary technology. Stretch films manufactured with Clearflex CL D0 have high stretchability, outstanding clarity and very high constancy in cling effect.Main ApplicationClearflex CL D0 is recommended as cling agent in stretch film but it is also used for applications in which soft touch and flexibility are required, for the improvement of impact resistance when used as additive in blend with other polyolefins formulated with or without mineral fillers.

Riblene® MP 20 is a medium fluidity low density polyethylene resin (LDPE).Parts made by Riblene MP 20 are characterized by a high flexibility.Main ApplicationRiblene MP 20 is suitable for injection molding, compound and masterbatch applications. Riblene MP 20 is recommended for houseware, toys, lids and medium thickness articles.

Edistir® N 3840 is a general purpose polystyrene combining easy flow and medium heat. N 3840 belongs to Edistir® GPPS third generation.Edistir® N 3840 is suggested in extrusion for glossy capping of HIPS sheets and for blending with HIPS or clear SBS for stiffer thermoformable sheets.This grade exhibits excellent processability in injection molding and it is recommended for complex and thin-wall parts and fast molding cycles.Thanks to N 3840, injected items will be more brilliant and neutral colored in line with more sophisticated market needs.Designation: Thermoplastics ISO 1622-PS,G,085-12.Thermoformed disposable packaging and glossy sheets for industrial and fridge applications.Injection of molded beverage cups, containers for foods and cosmetics, toys, housewares, medical articles (Petri dishes).

Riblene® FF 39 F is a high molecular weight low density polyethylene (LDPE), suitable for blown film extrusion. Riblene FF 39 F is characterized by a good melt strength leading to a good bubble stability during extrusion.Films manufactured by Riblene FF 39 F are easily heat shrinkable and characterized by good optical and mechanical properties.Main ApplicationRiblene FF 39 F is recommended for the production of shrink film for medium and light loads, for lamination film and for blend.

Clearflex® RL 50 U is a linear medium density polyethylene resin, with antioxidants and UV stabilizers, suitable for rotomoulding applications. Items manufactured with Clearflex RL 50 U show good mechanical properties and high environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR).Main ApplicationThanks to good mechanical properties and high ESCR, Clearflex RL 50 U is recommended for the production of high capacity containers.

Riblene® FH 39 F is a low density polyethylene (LDPE) suitable for blown film extrusion. Riblene FH 39 D-F is characterized by a good balance between processability and mechanical properties.Films manufactured by Riblene FH 39 D-F are easily heat shrinkable and have good optical and mechanical properties.Main ApplicationRiblene FH 39 F is recommended for general packaging film and for diapers.

Greenflex® FL 55 is an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) for extrusion/co-extrusion blown and cast film. Films produced with Greenflex FL 55 show a low fish eyes content, high elasticity, good optical properties, good sealability at low temperatures.
