Versalis supply a range of ethylene vinyl acetate co polymers (EVA) under the trademark Greenflex®. The products are made by the high pressure polymerization process adding the comonomer (vinyl acetate) into the main polymer chain based on ethylene monomer. The technology and the type of polymerization (radical) rend these copolymers a special modification of common LDPE materials. The main properties of EVA copolymers are different from the typical one of common LDPE polymers and the difference grows according to the increase of VA content. The range extends from properties similar to LDPE to rubber-elastic like properties for high VA content EVA copolymers.
