Applications & Uses

- Application Area
- Application Method
- Mixing
Mix Armor Plate 991 Resin (part A) and Cure (part B) in equal proportions, by volume. Stir the mixture for at least 2 minutes, until a homogenous mixture is obtained. After the grout material is blended, clean, dry sand may be added.
- Application
Armor Plate 991 may be applied with a brush. When placing AP 991 in anchor bolt or rebar holes, pour the hole one-quarter full and insert bolt. This method will assure that the anchor bolt or rebar is completely surrounded by the grouting material.
- Coverage and Estimating
The theoretical coverage of the Armor Plate 991 is:
Without Aggregate
231 cu. in./gal.
With Aggregate (3:1 ratio)
924 cu. in./gal.
The amount of grout (with aggregate) needed, without consideration of losses during mixing and application, is determined from the following formula:
G
is the Amount of Grouting Material needed (gallons)
r1
is the Radius of the Holes to be filled (inches)
r2
is the Radius of the Bolt or Rebar (inches)
d
is the Depth of the Hole (inches)
n
is the Number of Holes to be filledThe amount of AP 991 needed, in gallons, is:
G / 4 ( 1 gal. / 231 cu. in.)

Storage & Handling
- Shelf Life
The shelf life of AP 991 is a minimum of one (1) year if kept in tightly sealed containers in a dry location. AP 991 may keep up to 4 to 5 years. After one year of shelf life it is recommended that a test batch be mixed to determine its reactivity. Freezing or temperatures in excess of 110 °F will not affect the shelf life of AP 991
