ZETESAP C 11 is a hot melt compound for the manufacture of high quality transparent bars for personal wash. It combines effective cleansing and pleasant skin feel with the visual impact offered by its superior clear appearance and excellent foam.
Cleansing bars can be easily produced by simply melting ZETESAP C 11 at a temperature of 65-70°C, adding perfume and pouring it into molds. When additives are incorporated, please make sure that the pH value is not changed and try to avoid water loss during the time of melting an pouring. Both may lead to a loss in transparency. Different types of molds may be used. One example is silicone molds from which the bars are taken out after solidification and packed in clear film. Another possibility is direct filling in blister packages, resulting in a “ready to sell “ product. Depending on the material of the molds and the room temperature the solidification may take approx. 0.5 to 4 hours.
This process allows a creativity in the design of the bar and can be adapted to small or large scale
production. Bars produced with ZETESAP C 11 show good transparency, rinsability and cleansing characteristics whilst exhibiting low mushing, resistance to cracking and biodegradability.

ZETESAP C 11 should not be stored at temperatures under 0°C for a longer period. After defrosting the original transparency is no longer achieved. This happens only when the product is melted for processing at about 65 - 70 °C. For this reason, the Zetesap C 11 prepared bars must be also protected from frost.
