Acrodur® acrylic resins are available as an aqueous solution. They are self-cross-linking and without formaldehyde release. BTC’s range of Acrodur® types gives decorative foils, filters, and wallpaper excellent mechanical properties. Acronal® types with specific properties give the best performance for mineral, glass fibers, and natural fibers (acrylic resins as a binding agent). Acronal® latexes are based on styrene-acrylate polymers and provide optimum printability and low yellowing tendency.

WACKER SilGel® comprises highly transparent, silicone rubber compounds that cure to form silicone gels. They stand out due to their low viscosity and strong inherent tack, often rendering a primer or adhesion promoter superfluous. All products can be fully automatically processed in mixing and metering units, and are ideal for efficient mass production. WACKER SilGel® products are addition-curing, RTV-2-silicone elastomers that cure both at room temperature and at higher temperatures.

Kromakote 8601-1 provides outstanding wear resistance, hardness, gloss, color retention, adhesion, permanence, and durability. Stands up to harsh environments and atmospheric conditions. Use on bath tubs, tiles, sinks, tanks, masonry, and more. Apply with brush or spray gun. Three coats are recommended for porcelain refinishing. Acts as standard base for subsequent clear coats. Available in white and custom colors.

Bermocoll is used as a thickener, stabilizer and water-retaining agent for water-based decorative paints. It also controls consistency, providing easy workability, extended open time and enhanced adhesion in cement and gypsum based systems.

Fibertec micas are platy minerals. Mica is generically a complex group of aluminosilicates occurring naturally as plates or sheet-like forms. Fibertec micas can be surface treated to enhance performance in various resin systems. Fibertec mica is used as functional fillers providing reinforcement in thermoplastic and thermoset resins to improve flexural modulus, tensile strength, impact strength while minimizing shrinking and warping at elevated temperatures.

WARADUR® montan waxes are used as high performance additives in the plastics industry, due to their unique properties and versatility. Montan wax derivatives serve for example as combined external and internal lubricants, dispersing agents and surface improvers in many types of plastics and processing methods. They are therefore particularly valued for technically challenging tasks in the engineering plastics field where high demands are placed on functionality, optical appearance and cycle time reduction. WARADUR® montan waxes in addition also provide excellent lubricating and mold release properties for thermosets.

FMSIL fumed silica is a highly pure, nanoparticle size silicon dioxide available as untreated hydrophilic and surface-treated using different organosilanes hydrophobic types. FMSIL fumed silica acts as an efficient and reliable rheological as well as suspension aid, carrier viscosity modifier in emulsion, and also as a mattifying agent.

Fibertec mineral wool fibers are inorganic synthetic fibers that have been specifically milled and processed to controlled lengths and with predictable diameters and aspect ratios. These mineral fibers are generated from complex mineral silicates having as primary components silicates of calcium, magnesium and aluminum. Fibertec mineral fibers can be surface treated to enhance performance in selected resin systems. urther, because these fibers are additionally characterized by very low loose and tapped bulk densities, they are desirable for low-density reinforced thermoset and thermoplastic systems.

EXTEM™ Resin portfolio of amorphous thermoplastic polyimide (TPI) and polyetherimide (PEI) resins offers a powerful combination of outstanding elevated thermal resistance up to 280°C Tg, high strength, stiffness, and creep performance up to 230°C, broad chemical resistance including chlorinated solvents and eliminates the draw-backs of semi-crystalline materials, imidized thermosets, and competitive amorphous thermoplastics which can require post-molding curing or crystallization. In addition, EXTEM™ resin is inherently flame-retardant without the use of halogenated additives that can pose an environmental risk. EXTEM™ is available in transparent and opaque custom colors, as well as glass filled grades. In the near future, EXTEM™ with additional fillers will be available through SABIC LNP™ Compounds to provide wear resistance performance, electrostatic dissipative properties, enhanced dimensional stability, and more.
