Acrodur® acrylic resins are available as an aqueous solution. They are self-cross-linking and without formaldehyde release. BTC’s range of Acrodur® types gives decorative foils, filters, and wallpaper excellent mechanical properties. Acronal® types with specific properties give the best performance for mineral, glass fibers, and natural fibers (acrylic resins as a binding agent). Acronal® latexes are based on styrene-acrylate polymers and provide optimum printability and low yellowing tendency.

Acrodur® 3515 E

Acrodur® 3515 E is a raw material intended for industrial use only. It is a preparation based on modified polyacrylate, dispersed in water, and contains a crosslinker component. In liquid dispersion form, it exhibits a white color and is almost odorless.

Acrodur® DS 3530 is a formaldehyde-free binder for wood fibers, natural fibers, synthetic fibers, and cork. It is a clear, slightly yellowish solution of a modified polycarboxylic acid and a polyol as the crosslinking component. This binder is employed independently as a formaldehyde-free binder for wood fibers and bast fibers such as flax, sisal, jute, etc. It can also be used to bond cork chips and finely divided inorganic substances. Acrodur® DS 3530 crosslinks to form a thermoset material.

Acrodur® Plus 2580 is a colorless aqueous solution thermosetting resin composed of a modified polycarboxylic acid and a polyol. Its appearance ranges from colorless to slightly yellowish, presenting as clear to slightly turbid. This versatile resin can be efficiently applied to fibers, filaments, yarns, or fibrous goods such as nonwovens, wool mats, and woven fabrics. Application methods include common spraying, curtain coating, roller coating, or any equipment suitable for wet or foam impregnation, like foulards.
