Macopol alkyd resins can be modified during the manufacturing process to provide enhanced properties.They can be modified with:acrylic monomers for better weatherability (UV resistance); styrene for faster dry; vinyl toluene for early water resistance and better aliphatic solvent compatibility. It is sed in:automotive refinish; aerosol paints; quick-dry enamels and provides excellent exterior durability, fast dry and good adhesion to metal surfaces for automotive applications; good hardness and dry properties for architectural applications.

FoamStar® products are used as defoamers. BTC’s FoamStar® defoamers suppress and destroy foam and its negative effects during inks and printing applications. By removing or inhibiting air bubbles they are important process aids throughout the production as well as the applications process. Manufacturers benefit from foam-free production processes by reaching their desired results much quicker.

Tripoxy is a 2-part, high solids, high gloss epoxy enamel. This coating cures to an extremely dense and hard finish, without being brittle. Impermeable and insensitive to water, Tripoxy is suitable for submersion service. With excellent adhesion, this coating provides excellent resistance to common solvents, alkalis, and splash and spills from most acids.

VersaFlex PW-1 is a specially formulated, low solids, single component primer designed for steel and metal. Its low viscosity contributes to ease of application and adheres well for top coating with VersaFlex polyurea products. PW-1 primer may be used with all VersaFlex rapid curing polyurea sealants and spray coating systems. It is designed for use in both interior and exterior priming situations. PW-1 is ideal for priming metal surfaces to help temporarily hold back flash rust.

SpectraFlair pigments are light diffractive colorants that generate the appearance of multiple, bright rainbow producing prisms moving over a liquid silver color. The combination of rainbow-like color, aluminum core, and high pigment flake diameter to thickness ratio of SpectraFlair pigments create the appealing, iridescent, liquid silver metallic appearance. The pigments change from a typical metallic appearance in low illumination, to vivid, multi-rainbow effects in direct bright light. SpectraFlair pigment is a neutral color that may be used as the sole colorant or combined with other pigments and dyes to create subtle, sophisticated dimensions for products and spaces.

Rezimac epoxy-modified alkyd resins produce a resin that is saponification resistant, as well as tolerant of strong solvents when recoated. Because of the epoxy component, they adhere well to various substrates. Ideal for use as general metal primers and primers for galvanized steel.

TYTAN™ TIPT/TNBT/TET/EHT process catalyst series are the world’s leading products of homogeneous esterification and transesterification catalyst to typical users in plasticizer, acrylate and methacrylate manufacturers. TYTAN™ AP series adhesion promoter is specially designed for flexographic and gravure printing ink for flexible packaging films to improve adhesion and heat stability. TYTAN™ CX series cross-linking agents are designed to impart a shear reversible or thixotropic structure to latex paint and dispersion paint. Other catalysts are designed for polyester esterification catalysts and polyurethane catalysts.

This high solids surface tolerant epoxy mastic provides excellent chemical and water resistance. Intended for application to hand cleaned iron and steel, Tripoxy HB is recommended for submersion in fresh, salt, and waste water, when applied over blasted clean metal.
