SEMICOSIL® is WACKER's brand name for its silicone rubber grades developed for use in electronics applications. Each product is customized to the requirements of a specific application, resulting in a portfolio of highly specialized grades.

EPOXIBOND optical adhesives are low viscosity, optically clear adhesives. Each product has been engineered for use in a variety of industries including fiber-optic, medical, and electronics industries. Epoxyset medical adhesives are designed for use in medical devices such as MRI devices, endoscopes, catheters, ultrasound probes etc. In addition to the products below, we custom manufacture adhesives for use in the medical device industry.

Stanyl is a high-performance aliphatic polyamide with a melting temperature of 295°C that due to its high crystallinity and fast crystallization speeds entails three key strengths: Excellent high-temperature mechanical performance Excellent wear and friction properties Superior flow

Rexolite is high voltage and high performance plastic. Rexolite® is a unique cross-linked polystyrene, microwave plastic manufactured by C-Lec Plastics Inc. This material’s most notable properties are it’s stable electrical properties into the Giga-hertz frequency range. It is also optically clear, with a slight yellow cast, when polished (approximately the same as Acrylic), dimensionally stable, and has excellent sound transmission characteristics. As a result, Rexolite® is often used for high-frequency circuit substrates, microwave components, and lenses with acoustic, optical and radio-frequency applications.

Chemitac® adhesives are used for single-layer or double-layer bonding of compounds to substrates such as metals, plastics, glass, ceramics and textile fibers by the curing process or by vulcanization.

WACKER SilGel® comprises highly transparent, silicone rubber compounds that cure to form silicone gels. They stand out due to their low viscosity and strong inherent tack, often rendering a primer or adhesion promoter superfluous. All products can be fully automatically processed in mixing and metering units, and are ideal for efficient mass production. WACKER SilGel® products are addition-curing, RTV-2-silicone elastomers that cure both at room temperature and at higher temperatures.

AquaGraft® moisture curable systems allow customers to crosslink polymer systems without investing in expensive curing processes.

ELASTOSIL® R solid silicone rubber grades are peroxide-curing. They can be processed by conventional methods, such as extrusion, calendering, compression and transfer molding, or injection molding. They cure in heat and are ideal for manufacturing a variety of silicone rubber articles.

POWERSIL® from WACKER is a portfolio of specialty silicones for power transmission and distribution. It also includes silicone fluids for transformers, and specialty silicone pastes. All POWERSIL® products meet the requisite product safety, quality and reliability demands imposed by the various applications, and are notable for their outstanding property profiles. POWERSIL® rubber grades confer lasting water repellency, resistance to leakage currents and erosion, and good low-temperature flexibility. This makes them ideal for harsh climates found in coastal and desert regions.

ELASTOSIL® is an all-rounder for countless applications. Silicone rubbers consist essentially of silicone polymers and fillers. They cure at high temperature (HTV/LSR grades) or room temperature (RTV grades) with suitable reactants, forming a three-dimensional structure and transforming the uncured compound in a plastic state into an elastomeric rubber. Silicone elastomers are flexible at low temperatures and resistant to heat and aging (UV radiation and ozone). They are easy to process and have good mechanical properties that remain unchanged over a wide temperature range. They have a neutral taste and are biologically unreactive.

SuperOhm® peroxide crosslinkable EPR compounds are designed for high temperature stability and superior electrical performance.

Arnitel TPC, a thermoplastic polyester elastomer, is used as a lighter, smarter, greener material alternative to conventional rubbers. Because of its excellent characteristics, it offers design engineers exceptional flexibility—giving them the freedom to implement the most innovative product concepts.  Arnitel has a broad range of hardnesses, making it capable to replace rubbers, metals, leather and other thermoplastics. This thermoplastic elastomer delivers superior chemical resistance, along with heat and wear resistance, plus the ability to be recycled.

Excelene grades are crosslinkable elastomeric polyolefin compounds designed for high temperature applications requiring a balance of mechanical properties, electrical properties, thermal stability, and performance.
