The standard concentration for Fracsal Waterbase is 1 to 3 gal per 1,000 gal of fracturing fluid with crosslink times ranging from 1 to 8.5 minutes depending upon the pH, temperature, and type of polymer-based fracturing fluid system.

Fracsal OS is a concentrated borate solution that is used to crosslink guar and derivatized guar-based fracture fluid systems. Fracsal OS is able to achieve low pour points by incorporating a pour point depressant that exhibits low toxicityand has excellent biodegradability. Fracsal OS solutions can achieve pour points as low as -46°C (-15°F). Required pour points for Fracsal OS may be tailored to meet specific customer requirements. This product is added continously during the fracturing fluid pumping operation. Fracsal OS produces a unique gel structure downhole that is elastic and thermally stable.
